Not only the Sunnis took knowledge from Ahlulbayt but in the history of Islam from early times to modern day there have been thousands of scholars and Imams from the Ahlulbayt among the Ahlu-Sunnah wal-jam’ah – who constitute the vast majority of Muslims.
Unlike the minority Shia sects – the Ahlu-Sunnah did not restrict the Ahlulbayt to 5 or 7 or 12 etc people and claim only they have the knowledge rather they took knowledge from whoever were the scholar and Imam from the Ahlulbayt.
Here, I would like share some books that lists major Sunni scholars from past to modern times who are from the Ahlulbayt – keep in mind they are major scholars not random scholars. Sadly, most of the works are only available in Arabic but fortunately there is an English translation of one of the books that list the names and biographies of the Hanafi scholars from the Ahlulbayt.
