Who was this blessed Companion of the Prophet ﷺ ?

1. There was a Meccan man who was born 6 years after Prophet Muhamad ﷺ. He lived a respectful & honorable life, and when Muhammad ﷺ began to preach Islam in Mecca, he was one of the first individuals from Quraish to accept Islam, due to the efforts of the earliest Meccan Muslims

2. He accepted Islam in his 30s in Mecca, when Muslims were a persecuted minority with no socio-political affluence. He eventually reached such a respected status with the Prophet ﷺ and the Muslims that he was given the honor of marrying a daughter of the Prophet ﷺ, Himself.

3. When the persecution of Muslims got out of hand, he was among the first to migrate to Abyssinia (along with his wife, the Prophet’s daughter) in hope of a safer and more tolerant setting, to freely practice Islam.

Shia belief: Imams superior to Prophets – Imamate higher than Prophethood

One of the main beliefs of the Twelver Shia sect is that their concept of Imamate is superior to Prophethood and the twelve people they claim to be their Imams are higher in rank than all the Prophets of Allah (علیهم سلام) except the last Prophet Muhammad (saw).

We have taken all these quotes directly from the famous Twelver Shia website:

“The Shi’a further believe that the twelve Imams of the House of Prophet Muhammad have the rank higher than that of ALL the messengers (be Imam or not) except Prophet Muhammad (S).”

A Shi’ite Encyclopedia Imamat versus Prophethood Part 1

“…which proves that the office of Imamate, with the ability to exercise inner influence on the ummah in order to advance on the inner path, was a higher and more exalted office than his prophethood.”

Imamate and Leadership – Lesson 17: The Imamate and Inner Guidance of Man

“The rank of imamate is higher than that of general prophethood”

“Since prophethood and the title of Khalil (Friend) did not apparently warrant a higher rank, the office of Imamate was the only office of a higher order to which even a Prophet of Allah could be entrusted.”

Peshawar Nights Fourth Session, Sunday night, 2nd Rajab 1345 A.H.

“The Imamate is a stage lower than the highest stage of prophethood, but it is a stage higher than all other ranks of prophethood. Since ‘Ali was raised to the stage higher than prophethood and was one in spirit with the Holy Prophet, he was endowed with the office of the Imamate and was thus superior to all previous prophets.”

“The rank of the Imamate is higher than the rank of general prophethood, but lower than special prophethood. The last Prophet is the highest stage of special prophethood.”

Peshawar Nights Fourth Session, Sunday night, 2nd Rajab 1345 A.H.

“Since the Holy Prophet was superior to all other prophets, ‘Ali was also superior to them”

“Therefore, ‘Ali Ibn Abu Talib was definitely superior to the prophets,…”

Peshawar Nights Seventh Session, Wednesday Night, 29th Rajab 1345 A.H.

Shia Hadith: People of Makkah & Madina are disbelievers – go to Kufa

Imami Shia fabricated these narrations and attributed them to Jafar bin Muhammad (rah). Jafar is free from their lies and fabrications. Anyways, lets read their dirty narrations:

Jafar Sadiq (as) said: The People of Makkah openly disbelieve in Allah, and the people of Madina are worse than the people of Makkah, seventy times worse.

[(al-Kafi vol.2, pg.409-410), (Jawahir al-Kalam of al-Jawahiri vo.6, pg.60), (the book of Taharah of al-Ansari vol.2, pg.385)]

From as-Sadiq (as): The people of Shaam are worse than the people of Rome. The people of Madina are worse than the people of Makkah. And the people of Makkah openly disbelieve in Allah (swt).

[al-Kafi vol.2, pg.209, hadith#3]

A person came to Abu ‘Abdallah (as) and said to him “Shall I go to Makkah?” He (as) replied “No, don’t do that, the people of Makkah openly disbelieve in Allah (swt)”. So I said “What about the Prophet’s Mosque” and he (as) replied “They are even worse”. So I asked, “Where shall I go then” and he (as) said “Go to Iraq or Kufa”.

[Tahdhib al-Ahkam of Tusi vol.6, pg.44), (Kamil al-Ziyarat pg.559), (Book of Tahara of al-Ansari vol.2, pg.358)]

Imami Shia say: Prophet Adam (as) did not testify to Wilayah of 12 Imams

Sura TaaHaa Ayah 115 “And certainly We took a covenant from Adam before, but he forgot; and We did not find in him any firm resolve.”

Imam Muhammad Baqir (asws) said, “And certainly We gave a covenant to Adam before, but he forgot” refers to the taking of an oath from Adam (as) regarding Muhammad (saw) and the Imams (asws) after Him but Adam (as) was negligent in His oath. Adam (as) did not have the “firm resolve” to recognize the true status of Muhammad (saw) and the Imams (asws). The reason behind giving the title of Olil Azm (owners of the “firm resolve”) to the five Olil Azm messengers is that Allah took an oath from Them regarding Muhammad (saw), His Successors and al Mahdi (atfs). They, the five Olil Azm, testified to this oath with “a firm resolve” they accepted the oath as the truth.”

(Al Kafi vol 1 pg 416, Tafseer Qummi Second Edition pg 65)

Abu Hamza narrates Imam Muhammad Baqir (asws) said, “Allah took a covenant from the prophets and said, “Am I not your Lord?”

The prophets replied, “Yes. You are”.

Allah asked, “Is Muhammad (saw) not My Messenger? Is Ali (asws) not Ameerul Momineen (asws)? Are His Successors not the authorities appointed by Me? Are They not the keepers of My knowledge? Is al Mahdi (atfs) not the one with whom I will support My religion? Is He not the one through whom I will spread My government? Is he not the one through whom I will avenge My enemies? Is he not the one through whom the people will worship Me, willingly or unwillingly?”

The prophets replied, “We believe in this covenant and we testify to this, O’our Lord”.

Imam Muhammad Baqir (asws) then said, “Adam (as) did not deny this covenant but He did not testify to it. Therefore the religion was announced through the five messengers who testified in al Mahdi (atfs). However Adam (as) did not have the “firm resolve” to testify. This is the meaning of this ayah.”

(Tafseer al Burhan vol 5 pg 191, Taweel al Ayat al Dhahira pg 313)

Sura Furqaan Ayah 26 “The kingdom on that day shall rightly belong to the Beneficent Allah, and a hard day shall it be for the unbelievers.”

Ali bin Asbaat narrates from some of Our companions, “The kingdom” belongs to Allah on “that day” and on every other day but the above ayah refers to the rising of al Mahdi (atfs) when everyone will worship Allah.”

(Taweel al Ayat al Dhahira pg 369)

Shia scholar: “Abdullah ibn Saba’ preached the truth & Shia beliefs”

Shia scholar: “Abdullah ibn Saba’ preached the truth and the belief of Imami Shia”

Al-Salamu `Aleykum,

Shia scholar Muhammad `Ali al-Mu`allim , student of Ayatulla Muhammad al-Muraghi, he says in his book “`Abdullah ibn Saba’ al-Haqiqah al-Majhoulah” pg.62:

[Everything Ibn Saba’ preached is truth, and it is the belief of Imami Shia, except his saying: “There were a thousand prophets and every prophet had a Wasi” because the narrations coming from the path of Ahlul-Bayt declare that prophets were more than a thousand.

Nothing from which Ibn Saba’ mentioned shows signs of Ghulu or extremism, rather it appears that he was a Shia who belonged to Ahlul-Bayt and was loyal to Ameer-ul-Mu’mineen and disowned his enemies.]

al-Murtada: The Shia Fiqh is taken from weak and untrustworthy sources

Salam Aleykum,

One of the biggest classical Shia scholars Sharif Al-Murtada says:

There is no difference amongst those who decided to accept and work with the Khabar al-Wahid (1) in matters of Shari’ah that it must come through a ‘Adl, in our madhab ‘Adl means that the narrator must have a correct belief in Usool and Furu’u, that he must not be from a corrupt madhab according to the proofs, that he must not commit disobedience and evil deeds apparently. This means that we must not work with any of the narrations by the Waqifah of Musa bin Ja’afar (as) who believe that he was a Mahdi and all those after him are liars, this is clear kufr, such as al TaTari and ibn Sama’ah and such people which we cannot count as to their large numbers. The majority of our Fiqh or all of it is related to narrations from the Waqifah, whether they narrated the Hadith from someone or someone narrated it from them. Also others such as the Ghulat (2), the Mukhammisah (3), the people of Hulul (4) and they are too many to count “Or from a Qummi who is a Mushabbih or a Mujabbir (5), and all qummies with no exceptions except for Ibn Babaweih are Moushabihah and Moujabirah, their books all bear witness to this clearly. So what narration is safe from having in its chain a Waqifi or a Ghali or a Qummi who is a Mushabbih and a Mujabbir.”

Source: Rasael al-Shareef al-Murtada 3/310.

(1) What is narrated through one narrator.
(2) Extremist Shia who commit Ghulu and the Shia definition of Ghulu changes with the passing of time, this sect attributes divine features to ‘Ali, although many Twelvers in our days do this so ponder.
(3) Shia sect that believed that Allah came in the form of Muhammad, ‘Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hussein.
(4) Those who believe Allah can appear in a specified physical form.
(5) Shia sects such as al-Bayaniyah and al-Sabaiyyah and others, they liken the creator to the creation.

The leader of their sect Tusi says:

Sheikh al-Taefa al-Tusi says: “Many of the authors from our companions and those who wrote the Usool have adopted corrupt Madhabs although their books are accepted.”

Source: al-Fihrist pg 2.

Basically if the Shia want to apply the proper science based on the ‘Adalah, then a big part of their Madhab would collapse as they rely on the narrations by people of corrupt madhabs whom they themselves deem as Kouffar.
