Companion of the cave – The Prophet (saw) and Ahlulbayt confirm the virtue

Muslims, Sunnah believe it is a VIRTUE, in fact if it was just a “mathematical” reality as how Rafidah Shias say (“second of two”) then why did Allah made it a verse that will be recited till judgement day?

Or what they (Rafidah) also say, a disgrace (Abu Bakr being sad, like MARY in the QUR’AN and others), then why did the Ahl Al-Bayt gave the following verdicts:

(taken from: http://islamic-forum…27 )

ALI IBN ABI TALIB رضي الله تعالى عنه CONFIRMED THE VIRTUE:

“Ibrahim the son of Abdul-Rahman Ebn Awf narrated to us that (his father) Abdul-Rahman Ebn Awf was with Omar Ebn Al-Khattab when Mohammad Ebn Maslamah broke the swod of Al-Zubayr, then Abu Bakr started his speech and apologised to the people and said:’By Allah, I’ve not been eager for power (Al-Imara/Rulership), not at any day or night at all. I was not interested in it, neither did I asked Allah in secrecy nor in public for it,yet I felt pity for the Fitnah […]

Thereupon the Muhajir (Sahabah) accepted the speech and apology and Ali (Ebn Abi Talib) and Al-Zubayr said:’We got only angry for being delayed in the matters of consultation [at Saqifah], in other respects we believe that Abu Bakr is the most deserving of the Caliphateafter Rasulullah peace and blessings be upon him: He was the companion of the Messenger of Allah in the cave, THE SECOND OF TWO, and verily, we are well aware of his privilege and greatness. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessing be upon him, had ordered him to lead the prayers while he was alive.”

[Al-Hakim said in his Al Mustadrak 3/70. 4422: Sahih according to the conditions of the Shaykhayn, they did not narrated it and Al-Dhahabi agreed with Al-Hakim
Ebn Kathir in his Al Bidayah wa Al-Nihayah, Vol 5 said:’It’s chain is authentic, walillahi Al-Hamdu wal-Minnah]

Ali Ibn Talib and his Love for Abu Bakr – Farewell Speech:

[…] In times of hardship, you were truly a good and noble Companion of his. You were the ‘second of two’, his Companion in the Cave; and the one upon whom As-Sakeenah descended. You were his Companion during the migration and you were his successor regarding the religion of Allah and His nation. And truly good sucessor you proved to be when the people apostatized.

THE SON OF ALI IBN ABI TALIB, MUHAMMAD IBN AL-HANAFIYYAHCONFIRMED

From Hilal bin Khabab from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyyah that he said: “O people of Kufa fear Allah and do not say bad things about Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, for VERILY Abu bakr THE TRUTHFUL may Allah be pleased with him. He was the second of the two in the cave with the Prophet peace be upon him, and as for ‘Omar, Allah had strengthened Islam with ‘Omar.”

(Fadael al-Sahaba wa Manaqibihim wa Qawl Ba’adihim fi Ba’ad” by the famous scholar of Hadith al Darqutni)Grading: Hassan/authentic)

FINALLY, THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH صل الله عليه و على آله و سلم CONFIRMED THE VIRTUE:

Anas ibn Malik (raa) reported that Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (raa) reported: I saw the feet of the polytheists very close to us as we were in the cave.I said: Allah’s Messenger (saws), if one amongst them were to see at his feet he would have surely seen us.There upon He (SAWS) said: Abu Bakr, what can befall two who have Allah as the third One with them. [The Book Pertaining to the Merits of the Companions (Allah Be Pleased With Them) of the Holy Prophet (May Peace Be Upon Him)

REASON: NOT RELEVANT TO THE TOPIC]

Hazrat Maula Ali (a s ) could have never said a single word in his favour and his accompaniment in the cave is a fact , but only to save his own life , evident from the fact that he was afraid of his life , constantly wailing and weeping despite repeated consoling by the Prophet (s) but only a believer believes in his Prophet.

    • again typical Shia reply. Not only Ali (ra) but even his son, al-hanafiya (ra), confirmed the virtue. Importantly, the Messenger of Allah (saw) confirmed the virtue.

If it was to save his life why didn’t he stay in Makkah and join the Quraish?

      • Let’s say I said 100 things nice about you and then called your mother a whore. Will the 100 nice things excuse that kind of abuse? The fact that Abu Bakr contradicted the Quran and attributed a LIE to Rasulullah (SAW) just to steal a piece of land from a YATIM of our beloved Prophet (SAW) shows his true character. What he did was much worse than anyone calling your mother names. The Quran says in Surah Namal that Suleman (AS) inherited from Dawud (AS). In Surah Maryam Allah ta ‘Ala says that Zakariyah (AS) made dua for an heir. And he was granted an heir in Yahya (AS). So if someone, be it the one you worship above Allah (Abu Bakr) claims that prophets don’t leave inheritance, what kind of a khabees liar do you follow? The same way as if someone called your mother names and then claimed that he has nothing but love for you is full of shit, so was Abu Bakr. He stinks just like this entire narrative of raising such people above the Quran.

      • No they haven’t. My questions are very clear. Firstly, the QURAN clearly states that the offsprings of Dawud (AS) and Zakariyah (AS) INHERITED from their fathers and they were prophets. Secondly, in books from ALL Muslims sects, Rasulullah (SAW) said “ana madinatun ilm wa Aliyyu babuha” – “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate”. “Ali is with the truth and the truth is with Ali”. Ali (AS) is to Rasulullah (SAW) as Harun (AS) was to Musa (AS). There was NO ONE in this world with more knowledge and MORE qualified to know what the Quran says than Ali and Fatima (Alayhim As Salam). Not Abu Bakr, not Umar, not anyone. These are all indisputable facts. Your website links don’t deal with any of these facts. They’re just Sunni bullshit stories to cover up the conspiracy. Fatima would NEVER ask for her right over Fidak if it was not her right. Ali (AS) would NEVER EVER ask about the rights over Fidak if it was not absolutely in his right! You think you know the Quran better than Ali and Fatima (AS)?? Are you really that stupid?

salaams brother, please rephrase your comments, its a bit convoluted, difficult to understand, i dont find the shia dispelling the fact that sayidina abu bakr was the second of the two, why do you build up a myth to knock it down? be just, be fair,…..

    • Walaikum Salam,
The SHia claim it is not a virtue but this claim of theirs is stupid and false even the Messenger of Allah (saw) and the Ahlulbayt (ra) confirmed the virtue. It is indeed one of the greatest virtues of the best of Sahaba, Abubkar Siddiq al-attiq (may Allah be pleased with him).

      • All your quotes are from Sunni sources which is built on praising the curses of Ali and Ahl Al Bayt. You’re too stupid to realize that and keep repeating “The Prophet (SAW) said…” like a brain-dead person. The prophet did not say any of that. It’s all fiction. Both things in your hadith can’t be true. Abu Bakr steals from Fatima and is praiseworthy? Umar insults Rasuluullah (SAW) AND is praiseworthy? What kind of an idiot are you?

  3. A man who is said to have so many virtues don’t even know whether Prophets leave inheritance . He invented a false hadees , is it a virtue .

You may go on calling him siddique siddique , but was he telling a true hadees on inheritence ? Nabi’s don’t leave inheritance . Do you know Hazrat Sulaiman?

    • The Hadith: “The Prophet’s (as) don’t leave inheritance” is also available in your Books, authenticated by your Imam Khomeini. You don’t even know this. Go read some books before accusing the Sahaba of inventing false Hadees (astaghferullah).

Also, Imam Jafar (rah) was asked Did the Sahaba speak the truth when narrating the Ahaadeeth of the Prophet (saw)? He replied: Yes they spoke the truth.

i and we should, respect all sahaba for the good they did but we should be fair and pragmatic to hold them to account for their deficiencies or errors or human frailties, firstly, its not a virtue just to be in the presence of a virtuous person, many kuffar were in prophets sawa presence and had good conversations too, its only virtuous when you do good, secondly, who allowed the two of the cave to be safe? who distracted the kuffaar to the place of the prophets bed unmoving so as not to give the plan away and risked death by many swords through the blanket covering him? thirdly sayidina abu bakr was scared and worried so prophet sawa had to console and calm him with reminder that allah almighty was the 3rd with them, etc etc

      • I appreciate your comment about respecting Sahaba. Regarding your comment about Abubakr (ra) in the cave with the Prophet (saw) first there is difference between this great incident and normal meetings of Prophet (saw) with Kufar. Because the Prophet (saw) would never take a Kafir with him to hide from the Quraish and then the son of the Kafir bring food for them for 3 days. It doesn’t make sense. Secondly, Abubakr (ra) was not scared or afraid rather he was worried for the Prophet (saw). The word used in the verse is: La Tahzan which means Do not worry. If Abubakr (ra) was afraid the word would’ve been: La Takhaf which means don’t be afraid. Thirdly, even if Abubakr (ra) was afraid so what? Wasn’t Musa (as) afraid when he was challenging the magicians? see Taha v21 & 68.
Fourthly, Prophet (saw) says that Allah (Swt) is with us. SO Allah (swt) is with Abubakr (ra). And from the Quran we know that Allah (swt) is with the: believers, Sabirun, Muttaqun, Muhsinoon etc.

        أَنَّ اللَّـهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
        وَإِنَّ اللَّـهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

regarding inheritance: whether we quote references from sahaba or imam khomeini to prove or disprove our contention is futile when the quran is saying that prophets do leave inheritance, not only of knowledge but also of material goods, see the references regarding for eg as alluded to above of nabi sulaiman (as) et al

  5. abe parker

funny though, i dont see you commenting on the valour and fearlessness of the companion who was in the prophets bed without even peeping to see if he was going to witness when the sword blows come raining on him?
